PAINT THE TOWN RED - delirious?

Just as Delirious? left the music scene, I have left my memory of Delirious? far far away too. As I read thru Twitter that their song, "History Maker" went into the UK Charts at No. 4 on April 4th 2010, Easter, I was pleasantly surprised. It brought me back to the days when I was inspired as I listen to their music. It is so secular in style, but yet I can always feel the anointed energy behind their songs. And I love it.

I dreamt that one day, if it would ever happen, I will want to make music like that. The Christian Music scene today is great, no doubt about it...but to me, Delirious? is the ONLY band who has done it the best, and the only band I will EVER look up to with regard to project crossover in terms of the SOUND of music. I have always wondered why Delirious? never made it into the secular charts with their awesome songs. I mean seriously, every song in their album is DOPE. Super impressionable on the first listen. And can last you for years! I just re-listened to their songs @ Youtube like 5 minutes ago, and I favourited each one of them! I can never get sick of them.

I aspire to make music like that, really. It's awesome. But more than that, listening to Delirious? reminded me of the zeal I had for Jesus and the church as a young believer. 5 years have passed by just like that. Wow~ I'm re-ignited. I'm gonna be a his-tor-y maker in this land!
