Communication I didn't want to blog about this, just probably tweeting. But it seems too lengthy to be tweeted. So I decided to blog. I think some people really need to grow up. Getting dua-ed is not a nice feeling. But more than just feeling upset, it's the feeling of disappointment about the way people don't communicate, or simply don't grow up. So far, I have been dua-ed quite a few times already on the job. I'm supposed to be used to it happening, coz it's supposedly part and parcel of the job when handling candidates. I mean - for me, sometimes when I feel tired, I fail to communicate. I know the kind of effort it takes to communicate when you're tired. But when all it means is just giving an answer - not compelling you to say 'yes' - just answer to form a closure to the whole matter. And people choose to avoid giving the answer at all. And I'm supposed to call and call and call and you hang up and hang up and hang up or don't answer? Hello, I don't owe you a living! I'M INTRODUCING YOU A JOB!! For goodness sake, pick up the call and tell me you're not interested in the services provided by my company or that you've found a job! Okay. Enough venting. I'm actually getting used to this whole thing which happens once in a while, and it's not affecting my mood by the end of the day. So good. What is left is feeling sad for these candidates, who needs to be taught a lesson about communication. I think this world is smaller than we think it is; if we are going to meet each other on the streets, who's the one going to feel paiseh? Definitely not me. Moral of the story: Communicate, be accountable, live above our conscience, do what is right. I'm not into self-flattery, but I have done well in these so far. Labels: contemplative 9:06 PM
