Today is quite an interesting day. First, I coincidentally met @mingxunq at Rafflesplace mrt with his friend, and although I went off first because I was rushing to meet my parents and relatives for dinner, we took the same train and alighted at the same stop going to the same mall. Lol. I managed to escape this string of coincidences eventually as I did a little window shopping before walking over to Takashimaya to meet my relatives and family.

There, I met my grand aunt and her family who visited Singapore. I've never seen her before. But I sat beside her and felt tortured because she is a talker rather than an eater. I was hungry you see. But then, I realize the 'perfect combination' was setting in because I'm the Listener, she is the Talker.

Even then, I had a good time listening to her speak. She is a sharp minded lady, reminds me of Singapore's legend LKY and the Iron Lady from Great Britain. I really appreciate being around people like that, who are very "Eagle" or "D" personality. They are the doers, not just speakers. Often, such people have such drive to succeed that made them who they are today. And I always feel inspired by their drive.

Apparently, she stays in a 2.4 acres big land in New Jersey and works in New York. Awesomeee.....she invited us to go visit someday. I sure hope I can! I want to see wild deers roaming around though they are considered pests there. Lol. It's something we will never experience in this small tiny island of Singapore.

Sometimes I really wish Singapore was larger. There is so much more to experience in a bigger territory. Not just city life, but suburban living and even some unrest can make us stronger and tougher. Not that I'm complaining about the peacefulness of Singapore's society. Who will?

And, when I think about the fact that the Wong family is so huge and all over the world, it's saddening because economically, it's not sustainable to travel and meet up often. And we're not super close in the first place. Yet true relationships are built only on a strong foundation. So most of the times, meeting up would be shallow talk. Just like Green Conventions...not very fruitful but yet necessary, as the participation of the parties represents commitment to the Green cause.

Oh well. Still, there's positive in every side. I thank God for open doors. I believe these meetings are all pre-arranged. And as such learn to treasure every such opportunity.

God is good! NO WORK TOMORROW. hurray.
