MY NAME

You ain't seeing it anywhere else

Perhaps. My mum's amazing ability to look radiant despite her age has caused me to overlook the fact tt my dad has really aged over time. I wonder if the sudden revelation came while going thru the whole hospitalization, deathbed & funeral process of my granny.

Dad's hands and arms used to be fair and firm , but they r now covered with age spots and wrinkles. His smooth skinned face used to glow, but now it is reddish and blemished with wrinkled, sagging skin. He is now 63 years old, and has now the need to deal with his persistent (and extremely) high blood pressure despite exercising regularly and having a generally balanced diet. He walks slower, understands slower, and hears harder. He is officially an "old man".

Why is it only recently tt I noticed? When I have been living, eating, seeing him day in day out...sigh. Even my mum is slowly giving in to age...these few days I noticed that she is a little bit hunched back. For someone with a good posture from young, this is definitely a telling sign of ageing.

Learning to cherish and appreciate them, knowing time waits for no man. Remembering how strong and youthful my Dad used to be, and realizing he is now stripped off his youthful energy and physique makes me really upset for being so ignorant thus far.
