New Song! The Bible's hidden somewhere too far from the start Pick it up and it's in pieces Broken like my heart The desert's coldness at night Falling away from the light No lovely feeling inside Hide from the sun The resurrection of Christ Followed by the blind Foolish people gather To be with of the same kind The sacrifices He makes Left them empty of their sin Who am I to believe that I cant go on? What title what title?? Not too sure now. But I guess I'm writing about someone who veered away and made a mess trying hard to live life without God, a person who once knew God. And he or she is coming back to where it all began once again - trying to live life right again. When stuff happens that cause more discouragement than he or she could handle, that person questions whether there is still hope, recalling during his/her darkest moments the very faded memories of Christ whom she had once learned or heard about - that He died for sinners to make them clean. I like to hang around people who are not willing to give up on themselves...people who constantly cling on to hope. It doesn't matter if they are broken/depressed people or people who failed, because this world is broken down in the first place. I really find that there is something attractive about people who do not give up hope. Labels: Self-composed 11:58 PM

Epilogue Epilogue It's now... When the night is no longer young, That I think of what the future holds. It's a long road...will my heart begin to fail? Or will passion burn quickly, leaving no trail? Excuse me, if I cry, it is no pretense. Those tears - salty and sensuous with more than a tinge of seriousness I cry for security I long for certainty That often eludes me. Come now! And bring me away to your place Make me stand where I should; don't make me chase. For the farther you go, the longer I take I cannot wait, no no I cannot wait. The duct is smaller than it is The road is shorter than it seems The fire is warmer than imagined I'm unlocking myself. Now. Labels: Creative writing, inspiration, Self-composed 12:36 AM

Feeling lousy? Today Forgave Tomorrow I'm a fool for the millionth time Nobody knows, no partners in crime Too many lessons I have learnt Fire-played and fingers burnt Wide open the array of imperfections Hit me hard with one intercession The latter came to buy his clothes To make him light on the journey's boat Away, away, the lullaby sways Today forgave tomorrow Wave, wave, goodbye to this place Soon, you're gathered and safe We all felt lousy before. What can I say. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one feeling that. But I know that's not true....you guys have your own "lousy moments" too. Right? =p We are all workS-in-progress. And this song or poem or whatever you want to call it, it goes out to you all who feel lousy, stupid, and a letdown - all at the same time. It is unfinished, but my creative juices got blocked thereafter. Hahaha. I hope to remind myself and everyone else like me that "soon, you're gathered and safe". You will be. P.S: My emo times = creative time. So is emo-ing a good thing? Labels: Self-composed 1:39 AM

Stay I see my wings flapping o'er the place But I can't seem to trace the trail of the race Running too fast, I can't explain and chased off the plane took off with the train You cast me out and take me away You pulled my face without any disgrace I lay down my life for you to stay So stay, stay, stay Remember those times we laughed and we cried and sang a new song till our voices were dry Goin' out, comin' in You'd stay right under me and You'd bring me hope. Indebted Recently, I've been influenced by Relient K's style of music and lyrics writing. Combining it with my latest and (one of the) biggest revelations upon my life, ie. that I'm indebted to Christ for my life, here is this song I've been inspired to write and compose. Experimenting with a different flavor of music at the same time. :) Version 1 http://www.box.net/shared/odab096oep Version 2 (clearer version but I still prefer version1 so I attached both versions:D) http://www.box.net/shared/hy2npsapbp I'm indebted To the one I used to criticize Is it possibly true That someone died for you And that's making you free? I'm surrendered To Him I now call Servant King For the blame that He took upon His glorious life He's a servant and king He is servant and king (Isn't He supposed to be?) A servant and king (Till we're free to sing) We're indebted We're indebted He is servant and king (Isn't He?) Servant and king We're all ready to repay our debt Till we've got nothin' left I'm forgiven By the one I used to really shun 'cos of all the mistakes I've done was far too much when I was young I had a really bad tongue Maybe that's the reason why we're chosen to carry on life anew And we grew And we grew To love you He is servant and king (Isn't He supposed to be?) A servant and king (Till we're free to sing) We're indebted We're indebted He is servant and king (Isn't He?) Servant and king We're all ready to repay our debt Till we've got nothin' left That's my plan, yeah. Labels: music, Self-composed 1:16 AM

MIDI Just wanted to share this MIDI composed during last semester for my science of music module. I thought it's a pretty cool composition...i'm proud of my own work. hahaha. the volume may be problematic throughout the song, cos when i was composing it i couldn't solve the problem. nevertheless, enjoy. :) For those discerning ones, you will realize it is the tune of "Eternity" which I had composed on the piano a long long time ago. :) http://www.box.net/shared/9f8gf05xim Labels: information, Self-composed 9:37 PM

The Idealist In the little corner of her universe, there she is - bended and a crumpled up Furball. A sense of contentment surges from her heart, a feeling of wonder and amazement towards the mysteries contained far above, far beyond. The eyes on her head are always gazing upwards, her hands are always wrapped around two bended knees. She transpires and receives warmth in return; her breath circulates within the tiny enclosed space between herself and the wall she faces. "What mysteries does the skies filled by the moon and stars speak of?" "What is truly beyond that wide, translucent planar above my head?" Mysteries that fascinate the curious mind, leaving one with the wildest of imagination. Always gazing upwards, there is no Fear. Incomparable darkness of the universe and the terror of the empty space behind would it be to the Light of the sky. Serenity fills the heart. Undivided attention. Silence. 2AM Sigh I can imagine the likes of Amy Winehouse, Michelle Branch or Sheryl Crow singing this song...just not me. There's a picture Right in front of me Yet I couldn't see Yet I couldn't see There's a song That's touching me Yet I couldn't speak Yet I couldn't speak [A-Em-G-D] There's a sweetness Rising from my knees Yet I couldn't breathe Yet I couldn't breathe Pre-chorus: There's a price to pay But it's okay Chorus: I fall under your wings I am saved from dyin' You are here for me Doesn't matter what they say [A-E-G-D] There's a silence I hear your call It's been 2AM But it's getting clearer At this moment My eyes opened Words are spoken Knees are broken Labels: Self-composed 11:09 PM

A new composition It's still titleless, tentatively called "My Faith". Shall spend time to upload the mp3 to imeem only after exams. No eyes have seen No ears have heard Of all the things that is to come More visions and dreams Coming right after me And I declare Chorus: My faith Speaks louder than a thousand words My days Are filled with glorious love Rejoice Declare I sing of all that God has given to me His power reaches out to the weak And now Revival has come Labels: Self-composed 2:49 AM

Uplifted! After completing this song this afternoon, 'Whole Again', I felt uplifted. I think it's going to be my personal anthem for my inner battle...refusing to give in to delibitating thoughts about myself. Shamelessly clinging onto God. I didn't do justice to the song.... WHOLE AGAIN There’s no one else in this desert God my Father
And who can help to make me see?

Let Your Healing Flow Let Your healing flow Through the day Through the night Let Your power flow Through the day Through the night And let Your dreams be sown Into my life You're alive Let Your will be done I surrender All my life to You Jesus..... Chords 1st 2nd stanzas: D-A-Em-A 3rd 4th stanzas: D-A-Em-G-A , D One of those moments when u decide to worship with a guitar. Let Your healing flow Through the day Through the night... This is a special prayer for my grandma. And i worked on it and then came the subsequent verses. By the way, how to solve the problem of the ending being cut off when uploading? I kind of anticipated that this would happen. So i deliberately played 4 bars extra at the end. Learnt to be smarter now. . Feel free to continue working on this song if you can/want to. Right now i just feel that it's still incomplete. Labels: Self-composed 12:46 AM

All I See Is You All I see is You G When I close my eyes tonight Em I find stars in the sky alive C Wond’ring if I could be You D Dwell in every moment’s time G To see the future of my portion Em I try to comprehend C But I couldn’t understand D All I see is You ----|G-Em-C-D|----
G I kept dancing through the night Em Just with a nameless lullaby C Made it one of a kind G There’s someone that’s right behind Em I found that He belongs to me C So I soaked myself in Him D And I know, this must be G No empty promises Em No lying in the new world C All I see is truth D All I see is You ---|G-Em-C-D|---- ================================= CALEB, help me this Saturday ok? :D Labels: Self-composed 10:39 PM
